Giuseppe Martino is a Canadian abstract painter who incorporates elements of contemporary design, colour and technique to create his unique brand of abstract art. His work will have an almost sculptural feel that will delve into minimalist design to landscape and elements of nature, broken down to specific visual cues.

Texture and movement are at the heart of Giuseppe’s work, often using monochromatic colour palettes to draw attention to these rich details. Thickly applied acrylic paint and sculpting mediums gives some of his contemporary work a three dimensional element, sometimes extending more than an inch off the canvas. Ridges, waves and curls work together with colour and negative space to create striking compositions that hone in on his use of colour, shading and depth. While inspired by his surroundings and the emotional impact of texture and colour, each piece lends itself to the viewers interpretation.

"My heart and soul goes into every painting I make, with each one changing and challenging my understanding of art and who I am as an artist.  I approach each canvas differently from the last, exploring a range of colours, textures and techniques that will hopefully create an equally unique experience through the viewers interpretation of my work.”
